Social media trolls

Social media trolls

These are people who live to irritate and provoke others on online platforms. They complain post death threats and spit hateful words on their computer keyboards.
They hide wherever groups of people gather to comment, post, and share what they like. This includes not only social networks but also discussion forums, chat rooms, and blogs.
Of course, the internet is a free place where everyone can share their opinions and beliefs. Trolls, on the other hand, disassociate themselves from this kind of dynamic: they often don't believe a single word of what they write, but they do it anyway because they know that someone on the other side will be very angry.
To simplify, we could say that social media trolls are a bit like the big morons or morons we had in school…

Don't confuse them with unhappy customers!

It can be difficult, it's true: both can seem irritated and angry. Don't lose your temper, and watch the substance of their words, listen to what they have to say. Do they seem frustrated when discussing your company's products or services? Despite their anger, do they respect good manners? Or do they seem to be bubbling with anger? Are they trying to riot against your brand, asking for consent from other users? If your answer to the last two questions is yes, then congratulations! You have a real-life social media troll.
If, on the other hand, you have a disgruntled consumer in front of you, listen to him/her, he/she often asks for nothing more. Helping them solve their problem and resentful messages will stop them from appearing on your social channels.
Trolls, on the other hand, do not seek solutions to doubts or uncertainties. Their posts will only stop when they are forced to leave the platform or, more likely when they start to get bored.
